With Easter just a few days away, the clock is ticking but there are still several things you can craft for this holiday. The most popular thing to craft this time of year is Easter Eggs. Have you noticed all the amazingly decorated eggs that people are creating? There are tons of boards on Pinterest dedicated to just Easter eggs. Check out our Easter board here. A word of caution, once on Pinterest you can become quickly addicted to all the visual goodness.
In addition to finding great Easter egg projects on Pinterest, we have one more to share with you. Feast your eyes on this Egg Tabletop Trio. This trio was created using several FolkArt paint. This is a very unique spin on the traditional Easter egg. The colors used throughout are perfect for spring. Below you will find the supplies needed, along with their instructions.
PLAID Supplies
- FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors – Patina, 2 oz.
- FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors – Baby Pink, 2 oz.
- FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors – Medium Orange, 2 oz.
- FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors – Coffee Bean, 2 oz.
- FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors – Fresh Foliage, 2 oz.
Other Supplies
3 Wooden candlesticks in varying heights
3 Wooden eggs
White craft glue
Instructions
- Base coat each egg with at least two coats of paint using Fresh Foliage on one, Patina on the next, and Baby Pink with a small mix of Medium Orange on the third egg to make a coral pink. Set aside and let dry.
- Base coat each section of the candlesticks in solid color of choice or refer to sample project. Let dry.
- Using a small liner brush, add details of swirls, polka dots, flowers, stripes, leopard print, and zebra stripes. Let dry. Glue an egg on top of each candlestick.
